European Starlings

It is believed that these had been brought here to the U.S in 1890 by a group of Shakespeare enthusiast. Their population has exploded in the just over 100 years here in the  U.S. They directly compete with other native birds for nesting and food. Commonly out competing woodpeckers and other cavity nesting birds. Often killing off young of the other birds to take the nesting spots.  Sadly the damage they do does not stop there. It is estimated that they do 800+ million in damage to agriculture every year.

They commonly invade our houses too.  Finding any open cavity, they can to nest. From dryer and bathroom exhaust vents to open holes in the soffit and fascia. They can bring disease and parasites into your house. Don’t try to take care of these issues alone. Call a professional wildlife removal company that can take care of all of the issues. If not done properly you may end up causing yourself more of a hassle trying to get rid of parasites that were left behind.
